As we looked to the skies this weekend for the 35th Great Wellsville Balloon Rally there were many unrecognized heroes on the ground.
My thanks goes out to the following organizations that contributed everything from vehicles and equipment to people: The Wellsville Police Department, Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department, Wellsville Ambulance Corps, Citizens on Patrol of Wellsville, Allegany County Sheriffs Department and New York State Police, Wellsville Central School's buses and drivers, Water Department, Parks and Recreation and Department of Public Works, Trapping Brook House, Maple Mountain, Roger Ramsey of the Computer Clinic and Sky Stream, Otis Eastern and Basil's of Wellsville
and Music on the Lawn.
Special thanks to Bill Whitfield, Jeff Smith and the village electricians for their help and support. For those that I missed I can only say thank you for all your help, support and dedications. We are all looking forward to working with each and every one of you again next year.
